Effect of Jokyong-Jongok-tang on the fertilization and maturation of immmature oocytes in bovine

Abstract
|

|
These studies were conducted to evaluate the effects of Jokyong-Jongok-Tang(JJT) on proliferation of endometrial stromal cells and nuclear maturation of immature oocytes in bovine.
The results obtained were as follows ;
1. The toxic effect of JJT was showed in the above 3.0% solution.
2. By MTT assay method, proliferation of endometrial stromal cells was most increased at the concentration of 1.0% JJT respectively.
3. In serum free media, the maturation of bovine immature oocytes was increased by treatment of JJT with a dose dependent manner. 1.0% JJT was showed most valuble maturation rate.
5. In in vitro maturation of bovine immature oocytes, addition of 5% FCS or co-treatments of 1.0% JJT plus 5% FCS was indicated more significant increase than control.
6. The valuble increasement of maturation oocytes developed to the 2-cell stage after addition of 1.0% JJT and 1.0% JJT containing 5% FCS.
These results suggested that JJT was affected for proliferation of endometrial stromal cells and nuclear maturation of immature oocytes. Therefore, JJT might be useful for improvement of reproductive efficiency.
